Lists
Static Lists are the perfect solution for executing one-off campaigns for a small group of users. The term static refers to the fact that once created, the user pool remains stagnant and is not updated to factor in your users' changing preferences, traits, and latest platform/channel interactions.
Thus, these are ideal for running one-off campaigns where your end goal is to invoke immediate action like user activation, conversion, registration, or convey a personalized message.
You can also think of these as time capsules that capture user groups and help you preserve their data. This comes in handy when you need to collate specific User IDs for identifying important user groups. Additionally, you can also upload a list of User IDs to create a Static List and subsequently engage those users with relevant campaigns.
How It Works
-
You can engage the user pool of a Static List with highly personalized One-time, Triggered, and Recurring campaigns through Push, SMS, Web Push, Email, and WhatsApp.
-
Static Lists are not ideal for contextual engagement, and thus, you cannot leverage them to deliver personalized platform experiences via On-site Notifications, In-app Overlays, and Inline (Web) Personalization campaigns.
-
Given their unchanging nature, Static User Lists lack real-time context and cannot be used to run Relays or deliver Transactional Campaigns. Their usage is heavily restricted for building Journeys and can be used only for triggering a Journey experience for users who are already in the Segment.
-
Currently, you cannot export Static Lists to your Facebook Business and Google Adwords accounts to run targeted ad campaigns. We'll soon make this possible for you!
